No no no no no

They are going to REMAKE Fr. Ted. Why would they do this??

Comedic actor John Michael Higgins ("Best in Show," "Fred Claus") has been cast in the lead role of an American remake of cult Irish comedy "Father Ted."

More on Dark Horizons.

Worst. Idea. Ever.

That's MAD Ted.

You'll watch it so. Ah, you will. You will you will you will you will you will you will...

I don't see how an American audience is going to appreciate an aging mad alcoholic priest sitting in a corner with the one line of "Feck! Arse! Girls!" the way we do.

Down with this sort of thing.

(Do you see what you've done to me already? I can't stop...and now it's spreading?)

They wouldn't allow 'feck' on US television. Now blood, guns and killings to beat the band is fine....but I think 'feck' will be this ideas stumbling block!

Thank fuck!
